A random SHOCK!!

Date : 1st of May, 2009 (Friday)
I had an assignment due on 1st of May.

According to my group mate, it is due at 5 pm.
Of course I had no doubt about what my group mate had told me and thus I didn't even bother to check.

I woke up late that day and I promptly went to prepare myself.
My brother and I went to MSY, Box hill to get Logitech X-530 speaker for my younger brother. Unfortunately, they ran out of stock at that moment.
As usual, I sent my brother to work at Glen Waverley. I remembered it was about 12.40 pm that time.

My brother was rushing for work; hence, I was forced to have Nando’s chicken alone.

After that, I drove to Uni.
I had no idea why I couldn’t remember where to submit the assignment.

For that reason, I sent a text message to two of my friends.

One minute later, one of them called me. He told me the venue as well as the time.

Out of my expectation, he told me that it is actually due at 12pm.

At that moment, I was so shocked and tensed up! I was already one hour late.

The worst thing was I had only the first part of my assignment which is the part I’ve done.

I text-ed my group mate.

According to her, her mother had got into hospital for surgery and the hospital is stated at somewhere which is few hours away. Also, she told me that she was on the way back but there was terribly bad traffic.

The night before, she promised to send me her works but she was unable to do it because she didn’t even have the chance to access to her computer.

At that point in time, I felt really helpless.

I gave Whey a call. She advised me to consult my tutor.

Without anymore delay, I ran to Menzies Building.

I was thinking to consult my lecturer, Mr. Roger Gamble. I saw a bunch of people there outside his office.

I spoke to them and told them about my problems.

I took my first step to his room.

I had no chance to say even a word.

Unexpectedly, he stood up.

“You’re too late” he said to me.

“I have to attend his class that time, or I will be late too” he said.

He walked away.

I was so speechless.

Luckily, my tutor, Mr. Aashish came.

I approached to him.

“I can’t accept half assignment, you know?” he said.

I was stunning after listening to his words.

He gave me options of sending him an email and sending him a hard copy by 9pm today before the building closes.

Without thinking any further, I picked the second option.

I tried my hardest to call my group member and text her.

No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get into her line and also there was no reply from her.

I was kind of lost that time.

4 hours later, she replied! She told me that she will be in Uni within 2 minutes.

I was so grateful!

I met her inside the Menzies Building.

She had even forgotten to print her coversheet.

In fact, I printed for her but I left it in my car.

“I printed a copy of the coversheet for you but I left it inside my car. Do you want it?

I can get it for you now.” I asked.

“It’s ok. I will just print it by myself later. Do you want to pass your coversheet to me? I will pass it up for you.” She replied.

“Ok! Thank you very much!!” I said and I passed my coversheet to her.

So, I walked away. I felt better and so released at the moment.

For the first time in my entire life, I face this kind of happening.

I was about to kill myself. *SCREAMED*

Hope this kind of thing would never happen on me again.
